Arcade Fire Light Up SNL

Arcade Fire returned to Saturday Night Live for a second time this weekend, and the Canadian collective delivered an electric performance of two tracks from their new album The Suburbs. The group also made a cameo in a hilarious Digital Short with Andy Samberg. Watch the footage below.

Win Butler and crew delivered one of the better musical performances of the season, which have also included a recent appearance by Kanye West. During “We Used to Wait,” Butler leapt off the stage to sing directly into the camera and into the crowd. “Sprawl II” was even better, with the band sporting neon costumes and singer Régine Chassagne twirling around in circles like a maniac.

Arcade Fire also made a cameo in the Digital Short “What Was That?,” performing as a high-school Model U.N. group who accost the U.N. General Assembly about everything from the oil spills to Darfur.
