Matt Morris Joins SPIN at Mile High Fest
The Denver native talks about playing with Justin Timberlake and whether the Mouseketeers plotted to take over pop music.
During this weekend’s sun-soaked Mile High Music Festival, bands stopped by the American Express® ZYNC ZONE, to chat with SPIN about their summer festival experiences and much more, among them singer/songwriter Matt Morris — watch the interview and performance footage below!
In the interview, Morris, who’s signed to the record label of longtime friend (and fellow Mickey Mouse Club alum) Justin Timberlake, talked about his breakthrough performance of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” at the Hope for Haiti benefit, playing his hometown, and how he learned from his dad, country music star Gary Morris.
But his best answer of the day came when we asked him whether he and his fellow Mouseketeers pulled a LeBron-Wade-Bosh and planned a pop music takeover in their tweens.
