Tokyo Police Club are back. With a new album on the horizon, their second full-length, the Ontario-bred indie-rockers are whetting fans’ appetites, posting their newest song, “Breakneck Speed,” for download on their official website.

Reverb-infused guitar carries the track, which finds Tokyo Police Club channeling their frantic sound into a dynamic, mid-tempo pop anthem. As singer David Monk reflects on a failed relationship, he chants an appropriate refrain: “It’s good to be back, good to be back.”

Dropping June 8, Champ follows 2008’s Elephant Shell. The band recently made a video teaser for the new album, where they discuss Champ‘s new sound, their recent move to LA, and dictionaries. Watch it below.

They hit the road this summer, playing Stateside at Coachella and Bonnaroo, followed by a run of dates this June supporting Passion Pit, concluding with a performance at NYC’s Governor’s Island on June 30.
