It’s a good day to be a fan of MGMT.

The Brooklyn psych rockers have just released “Flash Delirium,” the first leak from their much-anticipated second album, Congratulations, out April 13. Head to the band’s website to download the track! (NOTE: This link may expire at any moment.)

And that’s not all the boys have in store. They also just announced a fan scavenger hunt to promote their new album, which will take place in six cities, beginning in New York, March 10, and wrapping up in Los Angles on March 18.

The band’s website offers the cryptic instructions: “We will give clues to the secret location and a password on this page. Once you figure out where the location is — go there — you have 1 hour, first come first serve. You will see a person holding an MGMT flag — go up to them and tell them the password. If you are one of the first (6) people to arrive — your journey starts then. You will need to be free for the next 2 hours.”

According to MGMT singer Andrew Vanwyngarden’s recent interview with SPIN.com, the new record is influenced by surfing and psychedelic drugs — and the songs have some equally kooky album cover art accompanying it.

MGMT will hit the road this spring behind their new album, playing Coachella, Sasquatch!, and Bamboozle. But for now, you can pound the pavement with fellow MGMT fans for an disclosed prize that’s sure to be as off-beat as the guys themselves.
