Hot Song: Oasis Stroll Down Abbey Road

Meet Sgt. Gallagher’s Oasis Hearts Club Band!

Oasis have never shied away from expressing their love for the Fab Four. And here the Britpop band are taking it back to the summer of 1967 with “Those Swollen Hand Blues,” a tune off their just-released Falling Down EP. The track is indebted to the John, Paul, George, and Ringo’s landmark album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The Noel Gallagher-penned song starts off with gently strummed guitar, before breaking out into a fuzz-filled guitar-melody reminiscent of the Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.””Feeling like a rolling stone,” Noel sing-slurs in the song’s chorus. Wait… Rolling Stone?!? Don’t get confused, Noel!
