Ray LaMontagne had a banner 2008; The former sad-sack lightened up and released a SPIN-approved new record, Gossip in the Grain, and then spread his newfound love on tour. Now LaMontagne is ready for more and has announced a 21-date U.S. outing, set to kick off April 2 in Montclair, NJ.

The month-long tour will hit the Northeastern and Midwestern U.S. before concluding April 30 in Miami, FL. Folk trio the Low Anthem will handle opening duties for the tour’s first half, with singer/songwriter Jessica Lea Mayfield filling in for the remainder of the dates.

And like their man Ray, concertgoers will also have the chance to spread the love: Fans can buy front row seats through Tickets-For-Charity, an organization that donates a portion of ticket proceeds to the National Children’s Cancer Society.
