“There are no plans for [a new Rage Against the Machine album],” Tom Morello told Billboard.com. “We’ve had a wonderful year and a half of playing shows, and I don’t see any reason to not play more shows. The thing is there’s only so many hours in the musical day, and mine are very occupied right now.”
Of the project occupying his time, the Nightwatchman, Morello gushed, “It really encapsulates everything I want to do as an artist. I’m able to do everything I want as a musician under this tent.” Heading off the unspoken If you like Nightwatchman so much, then why don’t you marry it retort by spurned Rage fans, Morello went on to confirm his “life partner” status: “It’s my principal musical focus, as I see it, for the remainder of my life.”
