Any film that features acting turns from legendary rockers Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, and Henry Rollins — oh, and Moby too — is bound to be a strange affair. But when you add punk-rock vampires, airborne pieces of meat, and A Clockwork Orange star Malcolm McDowell, one question comes to mind: Is this movie going to suck?

In a word: Yes. Literally.

The buzzed-about Canadian indie film Suck features appearances by everyone mentioned above, along with Alex Lifeson of Rush and Dimitri Coats of Burning Brides [via The Guardian].The plot of Suck, which was directed by relative industry newbie Rob Stefaniuk, pits an up-and-coming rock band against bloodthirsty vampires and bloodless record execs.

The star appearances provide for some inspired casting: McDowell plays vampire hunter Eddie Van Helsing, while Moby is Beef Bellows, the frontman of fictional punk band Secretaries of Steak.”I’m making a speciality of playing douche bags,” Moby told Rolling Stone.”I could spend the rest of my career perfecting the douche bag.”
