Musicians (plus actors and politicians!) help raise funds for underprivileged children. Click here for auction details!
The 20th anniversary edition of the annual Rock for Kids Rock & Roll Charity Auction (set to take place December 5 at Chicago’s Park West) has amassed an unbelievable list of participants who have pledged to donate goods to raise funds for the city’s homeless and underprivileged youth. Click here to check out all the loot!
There are signed posters from the likes of Elvis Costello, Interpol, Wilco, Public Enemy, TV on the Radio, Tegan and Sara, and Spoon. There’s an autographed chair from Flight of the Conchords, a suit worn by Snoop Dogg, and autographed jackets from Gwen Stefani and Henry “The Fonz” Winkler. [Via Pitchfork.com]
Plus Barack Obama, Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Yoko Ono, Joanna Newsom, Modest Mouse, the Hold Steady, the Strokes, R.E.M., Hot Chip, Vampire Weekend, Rage Against the Machine, Kraftwerk, the Breeders, Bloc Party, Rilo Kiley, Justice, Eddie Vedder, and many others are all said to be donating items not yet specified. (We’re guessing they were all planning on the autographed jacket route until they heard the Fonz had already committed his. Who can compete with that?)
And for those who share the sartorial taste of Snoop but don’t happen to have a Chicago zip code, you can bid from home.
