Depeche Mode Prep New Album

Break out the black clothes and eyeliner: Electro-goth pioneers Depeche Mode have announced plans to release their latest full-length under a worldwide agreement with EMI Music/Mute.The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2005’s Playing the Angel is set to hit U.S. shores on April 21, 2009, and the trio are currently completing work on the new record in New York.

“This is going to be an exciting new chapter,” said Depeche Mode’s Andy Fletcher. With a new Depeche Mode record on its way, how could it be anything but?
