Wolf Parade Map Summer Tour

Wolf Parade

Who? Wolf Parade, a Montreal-based quartet comprising singer/keyboardist Spencer Krug (Sunset Rubdown), singer/guitarist Dan Boeckner (Handsome Furs), keyboardist Hadji Baraka, and drummer Arlen Thompson. The core quartet often tote former Hot Hot Heat guitarist Dante DeCaro on the road to flesh out their sound.

What? A 20-date nationwide outing, set to kick off in Pontiac, MI July 7 and unveil tunes off the band’s forthcoming yet-to-be titled sophomore album, out June 24 via Sub Pop, from sea to shining sea, including cities like Seattle, Dallas, Atlanta, New York, and Boston.

Should I go? Yes. Wolf Parade, a band discovered by onetime Sub Pop A&R man and full-time Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock, exploded into the indie rock lexicon with their debut, Apologies to the Queen Mary, and its unique indie-pop renderings. And already the tracks for their follow up sound promising — Wolf Parade’s summer tour is sure to be a hot ticket!
