Stone Temple Pilots to Reunite Onstage in L.A. Monday Night

It’s no secret that Stone Temple Pilots are reuniting, and now we can confirm that the band’s first gig in six years is set for a secret location in Hollywood on Monday night. The band will perform to a small group of contest winners, fans, and Citi cardholders as they announce details of their 65-date tour, which kicks off May 17 at Columbus, Ohio’s Rock the Range Festival.

The Monday night event is sponsored by Spin and Citi’s Private Pass Program to benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, and, for those of you who can’t get into the Hollywood show, we’ll be posting video from Monday night’s event right here at SPIN.com.

Now, how do you get tickets for Monday night? There are two ways: First, a select number of tickets for will be available for purchase by going to savethemusic.com, with all proceeds from the sale going to the charity. In addition, Citi’s Private Pass Program, available at privatepass.citi.com, will be offering a limited number of Gold and Platinum VIP packages to this exclusive, private event including tickets, exclusive merchandise, and meet-and-greet experiences.

Also on Monday, Stone Temple Pilots will launch a new website and an official fan club program that will give members exclusive access to presale tickets for the band’s upcoming tour. STP will also appear May 1 on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
