On the heels of the release of Friend and Foe, the band’s third full-length record, eclectic Portland-based outfit Menomena have slated a fall tour set to kick off Oct. 26. Following a performance at Seattle’s Bumbershoot, the trio — comprised of Brent Knopf (guitar/ keyboards/glockenspiel), Justin Harris (bass/guitar/sax), and Danny Seim (drums) — will hit an assortment of cities nationwide including Orlando, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. The 19-date outing, toting Illinois on most dates, will wrap at Minneapolis’ Varsity Theatre Nov. 17.

In related tour news, Chicago’s genre-blending post-rock outfit the Sea and Cake have announced a 14-date nationwide outing, the band’s second behind the release of Everybody, their seventh LP and first album in four years. Commencing in Minneapolis Sept. 14, the tour will then lead the veteran quartet through southern cities such as Memphis, Austin, and Atlanta. From there, the Sea and Cake will head north, hitting Baltimore and Brooklyn before turning inland and performing in Cleveland, Detroit, and finally the band’s hometown.
