With his new record None Shall Pass, Definitive Jux MC Aesop Rock has been exploding across the musical skyline like a blossoming Fourth of July firework show. And in an effort to prove he’s not all smoke and mirrors, Aesop has slated an exhaustive, 40-date North American outing, set to deliver his eclectic hip-hop to all corners of the U.S. and to a few locales up north, too. According to Pitchfork, the tour will kick off at Portland, OR’s MusicFest NW Sept. 6 before skipping east for a string of shows across eastern seaboard cities such as Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, DC. Next, following a jaunt inland and a handful of gigs in New England, the tour will head out west, logging a frenzy of gigs along the coast and southwest. Finally, Aesop will appease southern ears with appearances in Orlando, New Orleans, and Nashville, among others.
