Tour Updates: Feist, Drive-By Truckers

Broken Social Scene constituent gone solo Leslie Feist, know simply by her surname to fans, has slated a roughly one week tour set deliver The Reminder to an assortment of metropolises following the songstress’ tour of Asia and prior to a lengthy European jaunt. Now, after a performance alongside BSS principal Kevin Drew and Grizzly Bear at Brooklyn’s McCarren Park Pool Aug. 29, Feist will head north, stop through Buffalo, cross the border for a show in Montreal, and then appear at a scattered collection of cites like Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Ann Arbor.

It’s from one country rock legend to another for southern outfit the Drive-By Truckers. The band, set to open a handful of gigs for seminal string-twangers the Allman Brothers in August, will then head out on the open roads of the U.S. this October. Kicking things off in Birmingham Oct. 12, the boys and girls of the Drive-By Truckers will head west, hitting New Orleans before turning north through America’s heartland, performing to fans in cities like Tulsa, Iowa City, and Chicago. From there, the band will, uh, truck east and stop through outposts like Cleveland and New York before concluding in Baltimore Oct. 28.
