Portland, OR’s Musicfest NW has tapped a lengthy, eyebrow-raising list of performing artists, including Spoon, Aesop Rock, Girl Talk, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Grizzly Bear, Clipse, and hometown heroes the Thermals, for the event’s 2007 installment. The four-day festival, an annual event hosted by local alternative paper the Willamette Week celebrating Northwest music and benefiting local youth-focused music programs, is slated to hit venues across the Rose City from Sept. 6-9, and will also feature performances from Roky Erickson & the Explosives, Okkervil River, the Helio Sequence, Deerhunter, YACHT, Dan Deacon, and the Brunettes, among others.

Four-day festival wristbands are currently on sale via musicfestnw.com but fans unable to descend on Portland for the event shouldn’t fret, for Seattle’s KEXP will be broadcasting live performances across radio waves throughout the festival.
