Warped Tour Gets Rolling

Yesterday in Chula Vista, CA, the 13th annual Vans Warped Tour kicked off its lengthy 45-date summer tour, again hitting the pavement for a long summer of delivering punk rock and all its trimmings to the masses. The outing, sporting a impressive bill, including Coheed and Cambria, Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion, Hot Rod Circuit, New Found Glory, Cute Is What We Aim For, and Meg & Dia, is now underway in Pomona, CA and will soon make its way through every nook and cranny of the U.S. and Canada. In response to the tour’s launch, bloggers are taking to the web and praising their favorite Warped Tour band, inquiring about this year’s additions, and counting down the days until the wild punk rock extravaganza rolls through a nearby town.

Here’s what bloggers are saying about the this summer’s Warped Tour:

“I hope we get to be on this tour one day.” — Under the Gun, myspace.com/warpedtour

“I’m counting down the days for Warped Tour to come here to Los Angeles, on August 25. I’m just hoping that the Used, Underoath, and Alkaline Trio are going to be there for that particular show.” — Tantrumbiff, tantrumbiff.livejournal.com

“I do regret that today is the Warped Tour. And yet again I’m absent…I really just wanted to see Meg & Dia, particularly Dia.” — rei-7, rei-7.livejournal.com

“Initiate Warped Drive, Chewie!” — andrew, fuseblog.typepad.com

“I can’t believe that my favorite punk band from the ’80s [Bad Religion] is headlining the Warped Tour in 2007. That’s some serious longevity for a band with almost zero radio airplay. And to think that in 1999 they were stuck as the opening act for blink-182. I love seeing them back at the top of their game.” — democraticconventionorbust.com

“I’m going to Warped Tour July 27! I can’t wait.” — goody421, goody421.livejournal.com
