Tour Updates: QOTSA, St. Vincent

In a move similar to another far touring and Icky rock outfit, SoCal stoner dudes Queens of the Stone Age have announced plans to head to suburbia this summer on the “Duluth” tour behind the June 12 release of their fourth album, Era Vulgaris. “We want to play to people who hardly ever get shows and just burn the house down,” QOTSA frontman Josh Homme told Billboard.com. “I think we’re too stoked to not go deeper than we have before. It feels like the right time to go, ‘Hey, man, sorry I’m late, but here we are.'” The tour kicking off July 22 in Coast Mesa, CA will hit off-the-beaten path townships like Eugene, OR, Boise, ID, Billings, MT and, of course, the band’s tour namesake, Duluth, MN.
