Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry Maps U.S. Tour

Jonny Greenwood-pimped reggae touchstone Lee “Scratch” Perry, a.k.a. Rainford Hugh Perry, a.k.a. the Mighty Upsetter, has announced a summer tour of the U.S. kicking off June 8 in Boston. From there, the eight-date East Coast jaunt will lead the Switzerland-dwelling reggae legend through cities like Burlington (where he’ll share the stage with the Skatalites), Philadelphia, and New York before wrapping with a performance June 16 in Bridgeport, CT alongside another veteran reggae outfit, Toots & the Maytals. But West Coast-based reggae and dub devotees have no grounds to fret, Perry will soon announce details of his second tour leg, expected to stretch through July, August, and September, hitting cities throughout California, as well as Denver, Seattle, and Vancouver.

6/9, Burlington, VT (Burlington Discover Jazz Festival)
6/10, Philadelphia, PA (World Cafe Live)
6/12, North Hampton, MA (Pearl Street)
