The sixth White Stripes album doesn’t have a release date, but it has a name: Icky Thump. According to a post on the band’s official website, recording efforts for the new album, the follow up to 2005’s Get Behind Me Satan, have recently been completed at Nashville’s Blackbird Studio, and the album will hit stores “as soon as corporately possible” — the band recently moved to Warner Bros. after previously putting out their catalog via now-defunct V2 (read more). The Stripes are also “in the midst of planning performance type shows around the world” in support of the record.
Several Icky Thump track titles have been revealed, including “Catch Hell Blues,” “Little Cream Soda,” “Rag And Bone,” “Clicky Bump,” “You Don’t Know What Love Is (Just Do As You’re Told),” and “I’m Slowly Turning Into You.”
