Tour Updates: Richard Swift & David Vandervelde, Lightning Bolt

Secretly Canadian labelmates Richard Swift and David Vandervelde have announced a spring tour kicking off Apr. 2 at Seattle, WA’s Chop Suey venue. Swift will be supporting his latest album, “Dressed Up For The Let Down, while Vandervelde will be touring behind his acclaimed debut release, The Moonstation House Band. The 18-date outing will lead the pair down the West Coast, then through America’s midsection. Next, the two will perform a handful of dates across the East Coast and conclude with a gig in Chicago April 24.

In additional tour news, noise rockers Lightning Bolt have mapped an extensive tour of small clubs and art spaces nationwide. The outing will lead Lightning Bolt — whose drummer Brian Chippendale recently collaborated with Bjork (read more) — west across the U.S. with stops in cities like Detroit, Omaha, and Salt Lake City. Next, the band will descend the West Coast, shoot through the Midwestern U.S., and a wrap with a handful of gigs in cities like Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Providence.
