Tour Updates: Elvis Costello, Björk

Renowned singer/songwriter Elvis Costello has confirmed a string of U.S. dates this summer, BrooklynVegan.com reports. The 10-date outing will commence with a performance May 2 in Los Angeles, then lead the prolific Brit rocker through an assorted mix of shows in major U.S. cities including Denver, Detroit, and Boston, among others. The brief jaunt will conclude with a gig at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory May 19.

In additional tour news, Icelandic songstress Björk has announced the first leg of her tour behind the May 8 release of Volta via a website post. An initial headlining performance at Coachella April 27 and a concluding gig at George, WA’s Sasquatch! Festival May 26 will bookend the tour. In between, Björk will hit New York City for three shows, and perform in cities such as Chicago, Denver, and San Francisco, among others. Following her nine-date outing, Björk will head to Europe for appearances at massive across-the-pond festivals such as Glastonbury and Roskilde. Additional North American tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
