Willie Mae Rock Camp Benefit Show

Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls, a non-profit day camp where girls ages 8-18 get to rock out all summer, is set to host their second annual benefit concert and auction Jan. 23 at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. The event will feature Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Kimya Dawson, Alice Smith, Magnolia, Tamar-kali, and Brooklyn’s pre-teen punk rockers Tiny Masters of Today. Up for auction are Beastie Boys action figures signed by the band, a Brooklyn Brewery Beer Baron night (three-hour party for up to 40 people that includes complimentary beer), Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui swag, a Bliss beauty basket, an electric guitar and lessons, and erotic goodies from Babeland. VIP tickets are tax deductible and general admission ones will cost you $50, a small price to pay for helping hone the Slits of tomorrow.
