Jay-Z Reigns Atop Album Charts

Jay-Z’s post-retirement outing, Kingdom Come, may have only dropped last week, but it’s already moved over 680,000 copies, earning Hova his ninth No. 1 album, Billboard.com reports. These immense album sales are launching Jay up with the likes of the Rolling Stones, with whom Jay is tied for third-most No. 1 albums, just behind the Beatles and Elvis.

Elsewhere on the charts, Snoop Dogg’s Tha Blue Carpet Treatment bows at No. 5 with 264,000 units moved, Tupac’s posthumous Pac’s Life debuts at No. 9 with 159,000, and U2’s singles collection, U218: Singles, enters at No. 12 with 134,000.
