New Track from ¡Forward Russia!

Leeds-based ¡Forward Russia! dropped their debut, Give Me a Wall, to considerable buzz in the U.K., and before that album comes stateside Sept. 19, you can preview its first dance-hall anthem, “Thirteen.” The high-energy track begins with synthetic squiggles just before frontman Tom Woodhead’s vein-popping tenor, which hits the upper register with Justin Hawkins-like ease (minus the melodrama), chimes in. The song “encapsulates the themes of the entire album,” Woodhead told SPIN.com. “It’s about being brave and not being afraid to take the harder option, even when it may be easier to do something else.”
