Legend, Foxx Hangin’ on ‘Sesame Street’

R&B stars John Legend and Jamie Foxx will hang with Bert, Ernie, Elmo, Big Bird, Oscar, and the rest of the Sesame Street crew when they appear on upcoming episodes of the show’s new season. Legend will perform a duet with Hoots the Owl called “It Feels Good When You Sing a Song” on the August 14 season premiere. On Jamie Foxx’s August 16 episode, Elmo and a Muppet fox named “Jamie Fox” try to figure out who is the “real” Jamie Foxx, and then they sing the alphabet together. Also appearing on the show this season is Today host Matt Lauer, comedian Amy Sedaris, and Grey’s Anatomy‘s T.R. Knight.

Among the pop culture gems that will be parodied on this season: “Law & Order: Special Letters Unit M;” “Scramalot;” “The Breakfast Club;” “Survivor: Musical Chairs,” featuring a Jeff Probst look-alike Muppet; and “Outrageous Makeover: Home Edition,” with Grover in the Ty Pennington role. We’re guessing his abs are a little less chiseled.
