The project is barely in its infancy, but Spears is already devoting most of her time to it, her producer, Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, told MTV News.
“She’s been a mother and she’ll still be doing that,” he said, “but she’s very much into her music.”
At this stage, Spears is writing music and taking meetings with potential collaborators, and working in her own studio at home where she can work “in my sweatpants,” she told Glamour in her June cover story.

Sean Garrett, a producer who collaborates with Brit on a trio of tracks, added that they’re doing “some real crazy-ass stuff that the world is going to love.” Rotem, meanwhile, added that the pop-star-turned-proud-mama is culling inspiration from her paparazzi-infested life.
“She literally can’t go anywhere without her privacy being invaded,” he said. “Everybody is trying to get information. So the record we wrote, it addresses the ‘who do you trust’ kind of thing.”
And for the fans of Brit’s more danceable tracks, there is sure to be one “like in the vein of [Rihanna’s] ‘S.O.S.'” She’s even going to bust out some long-suppressed rap skills.
So should we expect something like, “My name is Britney and I’m here to say / I rap better than K-Fed any day”?
