U.K. glam rocker Gary Glitter (nee Paul Francis Gadd) was arrested by Vietnamese authorities Saturday (Nov. 19) on statutory rape charges. As SPIN.com reported last week (read more), Glitter had gone into hiding when Vietnamese police originally tried to question him about having sex with a 15-year-old girl. More information about Glitter has come to light in the past few days: According to E! Online, he stands accused of having sex with two girls, including one 12-year-old, while residing in the southern Vietnamese town of Vung Tau. If Glitter is convicted of child rape, he will be eligible for the death penalty, which in Vietnam consists of being shot by a firing squad. Bet you a dollar that he’s regretting ever singing a song entitled “Do You Wanna Touch.”
