Voodoo Update: NIN to Play Both Nights

The Voodoo Music Experience keeps morphing in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Nine Inch Nails was originally slated to headline the festival when it was in New Orleans, prior to the devastation. Then NIN was supposed to play in Memphis when the Festival moved. When the festival decided to split between the two cities, NIN was going to play at the special New Orleans concert for local relief workers. Now, Nine Inch Nails will play at both the exclusive New Orleans show on October 29 and the main Memphis show on October 30. According to the Voodoo official site, festivities will take place all weekend in Memphis, including a slew of free events featuring Dan Dyer, Soul Asylum, and the Giraffes, among others. The Memphis arm of the festival will continue to pay homage to the big easy: New Orleans artists will be featured at local Memphis clubs and the Voodoo Fest will retain “New Orleans” as a theme. The New Orleans show will be at Riverview Park, while the main Memphis Show is at Tennessee’s AutoZone Park.
