New Music from Metric Due Oct. 4

The “Succexy” dance rock super quartet Metric (led by Broken Social Scene contributors Emily Haines and James Shaw) is gearing up for an October 4 release of their third full-length album, Live It Out. As a prelude to the new album, Metric will release a single, “Monster Hospital,” during the last week of August.

Spin once said that Haines “rocks like a sexy librarian: smart, sassy, and classy.” You’d best get your library card laminated for this upcoming release: It’s gonna be a doozy. Metric’s U.S. tour kicks off in Boston on October 2 and winds up in Fort Lauderdale on November 16.
