Bjork’s Swan Dress Up for Auction

Joan Rivers’ shrill protestations were heard ’round the red carpet when Icelandic chanteuse and Dancer in the Dark star Bjork wore that famous fake swan frock to the 2001 Oscars. Now you can prance around the living room listening to Bjork’s squeaks and yelps while wearing her very own fashion faux-pas (and helping out a worthwhile charity): She’s donated the gown to Oxfam for an auction that begins September 18. “We don’t know yet how much these items could raise but if people get involved in a bidding war over Bjork’s dress then it could be quite a substantial amount,” Oxfam spokeswoman Rose Marsh told British website Playlouder.com.
