Concerts Cancelled in Wake of London Attacks

In the aftermath of this morning’s bombings in London, several acts slated to perform tonight have called off upcoming shows. According to NME.com, Sum 41, Nate James, Prodigy, and El Presidente have all cancelled gigs that were to take place this evening. Queens of the Stone Age will release a statement at 4 P.M., London time, as to whether they will go on with their show tonight at Somerset House. QOTSA’s special club date in Camden has already been cancelled. Queen plus Paul Rodgers (and possibly the Darkness’ Justin Hawkins) are still considering their performance tomorrow night at London’s Hyde Park. An official statement on Queen’s website says, “This decision cannot be taken until a meeting with the local authority has taken place and the band (Queen) have arrived back in U.K.”
